SofSole Insoles

There's many colors to comfort.

Sofsole

These insoles consisted of various designs and required different practices based on each insole. Some of them were modeled based on a 2D blueprint, others were retopologized from a CAD file, some required additional sculpt and boolean work, and a few of them had to be photoscanned by taking 180 photos from multiple levels and a complete 360 degree rotation. For the photoscans I cleaned them up with some sculpting and then retopologized them completely so I could prep them to be painted. I worked extensively with Substance Designer to build out custom materials with special switches for greater control that could be ported to Substance Painter and used for material and pattern generation proceduraly. One of my material graphs can be seen below. All in all this was a pretty extensive project with the goal being to get these to look photorealistic.
